Ricardo Lara, Commissioner
We are proud to spotlight California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara as our Featured Member of the Month. Elected in 2018, he brought nearly a decade of legislative experience, championing equity, environmental justice, and health care. As Commissioner, he’s leading California’s most significant insurance reform in over 30 years—modernizing rules to improve access and affordability amid climate-driven disasters. His leadership at the Â鶹´«Ã½, including roles on the Climate and Resiliency Task Force and the Cannabis Insurance Working Group, helps ensure strong, coordinated regulation that protects consumers and the state’s insurance market.
