Commissioner David Altmaier Addresses AFIR on Â鶹´«Ã½ Climate and Resiliency Workstreams
On September 2, 2021, Â鶹´«Ã½ President and Florida Insurance Commissioner David Altmaier participated virtually in the Asian Forum of Insurance Regulators' (AFIR) Annual Conference and Meeting. He spoke to representatives of over 20 jurisdictions, providing an update on the Â鶹´«Ã½'s Climate and Resiliency Task Force and their ongoing work streams.
He shared with the group, the U.S. state insurance regulatory experience with regards to climate resiliency, highlighting the Â鶹´«Ã½'s focus on the area as a core priority. Additionally, he discussed his experience of leading the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation through highly unpredictable weather seasons during the current pandemic.
